Poiema logoThis project was developed in response to the growing sense of disconnection, uncertainty and loss of purpose in today’s culture. In a world that often measures worth by achievement, appearance or productivity, many individuals struggle to find lasting identity and meaning. As a visual communication designer, I believe design can serve as a vessel for truth and restoration, not only to inform or persuade but to inspire reflection and spiritual growth. Rooted in the biblical passage Ephesians 2:10, my brand Poiema reminds us that we are God’s workmanship, uniquely created with intention and purpose. Through design, I seek to communicate that identity is not self-made but divinely given, and that creativity itself is an expression of the Creator at work within us.

My design concept centers on creating faith-based Bible study sets that nurture daily connection with God and intentional spiritual growth. Each set includes coordinated notebooks and journals designed to encourage reflection, prayer and the study of Scripture. The aesthetic combines minimal elegance with meaningful symbolism — soft tones, organic textures and refined typography inspired by the idea of divine craftsmanship. Each season of Poiema will feature its own collection launch inspired by the fruits of the moment, such as peach, fig or pomegranate, serving as a reminder of the growth, harvest and renewal that occur in every stage of life. These seasonal launches connect users to God’s natural rhythms and to the idea that, like the seasons, faith and purpose are cultivated over time. The “StrikeThrough” theme is interpreted as the act of crossing out lies about identity and replacing them with truth, affirming that our value comes from being God’s creation. This design direction embodies clarity, purpose and renewal, aligning with Poiema’s message of faith-driven creativity.

The intended audience for this project includes individuals seeking a deeper relationship with God and a clearer sense of identity in Him. The Bible study sets are designed to guide users through moments of stillness, reflection and renewal, helping them grow in faith through consistent daily practice. My hope is that each design becomes more than a product; it becomes a companion in their walk with Christ and a tool for transformation. Professionally, this project strengthens my purpose as a designer who integrates faith and creativity, using design as a form of worship, encouragement and restoration. Ultimately, Poiema represents a commitment to design not only looks beautiful but points people back to their Creator, reminding them they are seen, chosen and deeply valued as His Workmanship.
