I created Metamorph Studios, a special effects (SFX) studio that caters to local artists who specialize in FX makeup, prop design, miniature models, prosthetics, etc., providing creative services for hobbyists, filmmakers, cosplayers, and other special events, inviting consumers and creators to think big and start small. My inspiration for a special effects studio stems from my established love for fantasy and horror films that have used different types of special effects and camera tricks that are still on par with this era of digital effects. I have always been intrigued by the creative process of bringing life to otherworldly creations, especially cosplayers who independently reimagine characters from other media into reality. The name Metamorph is short for metamorphosis, which means to change or transform into something completely different. To create is to change, and changing, in itself, is a learning experience that all creators go through, no matter the medium. The logo itself also represents creation, with the center shaping an eye to suggest a creature within the design. All in all, I want to convey a sense of wonder and showcase the relationship between the art and the artist, as well as the endless possibilities that come along with it. I envision Metamorph Studios as a place for creativity where imagination flourishes, allowing everyone to explore the transformative power of art and storytelling. Ultimately, I aim to create a welcoming community that encourages experimentation and collaboration, inspiring each artist to bring their unique visions to life while celebrating the beauty of transformation.
