Artist Statement

personal logoMy journey into the world of art began in middle school, where I first discovered a passion for drawing that sparked a desire to create. Initially, I dreamed of becoming an architect, fascinated by the idea of designing innovative homes that merged aesthetics with functionality. I imagined a career where I could bring spaces to life, shaping environments that influenced how people lived and interacted. However, upon learning that my institution, UTRGV, did not offer an architecture program, I redirected my focus toward graphic design—a field that, while different, shares architecture’s emphasis on structure, aesthetics, and visual communication. Embracing this new path, I found myself captivated by the unique creative possibilities within graphic design, a field that has since become an integral part of my professional aspirations and personal expression. Graphic design is not just a career for me; it’s a powerful form of storytelling, one that allows me to channel my artistic energy into crafting impactful visual experiences.

As a designer, my ultimate vision is to establish my own firm and lead a team of talented designers, where our collective work can influence and elevate the design landscape. Central to my approach is the belief in the importance of truly understanding each client’s individual story. When beginning a project, I first immerse myself in the client’s background—exploring their history, mission, and future aspirations. This foundation enables me to create a design that authentically reflects their vision and values. I provide clients with a range of design concepts, encouraging them to engage with the creative process and select the option that best resonates with their goals. This iterative collaboration ensures that the final design solution is not only visually compelling but also deeply aligned with the client’s identity. Through this method, I strive to produce designs that are both innovative and meaningful, each one tailored to communicate a unique narrative and achieve the client’s objectives.
