Artist Statement
As a graphic designer with a deep love for all things cute, I find my creative inspiration in the delicate balance of color, form, and culture. My work is defined by a soft playful motif and a sense of whimsy that invites viewers into a world that is both comforting and vibrant. I am drawn to the subtle beauty of soft and strong hues, which I believe are capable of expressing the sweetness and warmth of life. Through my designs, I aim to evoke a sense of joy, serenity, and nostalgia—emotions that are universally understood yet deeply personal.
I have a deep curiosity about the diverse design languages of other cultures, which I believe enhances my creativity and broadens my worldview. I love exploring different global aesthetics, seeing how they express joy, beauty, and playfulness through their own design traditions. I enjoy the challenge of identifying what is considered cute or whimsical in different cultures, as these notions of beauty and innocence can vary widely. By studying other cultures, I learn how universal—or unique—cuteness can be, and how it connects us across different spaces and histories.For me, the idea of ‘cute’ is not fixed—it is ever-evolving, shaped by my experiences, travels, and interactions with people from around the world. What I find cute today may be different tomorrow, and that fluidity is one of the most exciting aspects of design. Cuteness, in my eyes, transcends mere aesthetics; it is an emotional language, a way of evoking connection and nostalgia through visual storytelling. I strive to capture the essence of cuteness in a way that feels universally relatable yet infused with personal meaning.
