Exhibit Work

Having an affinity for mysterious creatures beyond our understanding has captured our imagination. For my Fall 2024 exhibit, Arcane Royale is a battle/trading card game based on a theme with the world’s different urban and cryptids. These themes reflect the diversity and richness of our world’s folklore and bring these lesser-known creatures into the spotlight. The ideal approach for Arcane Royale is directly in the digital media and graphic advertising – illustration and physical printing. Having traditional and digital media artists’ skills, I can bring these creatures into a. While designing logos and making posters are essential attributes of graphic design, I still want to demonstrate the traditional side of design, which is the first step for every designer. Within this exhibit, I put my energy and time into designing the primary logo and illustrating my cards and posters. Hopefully, this exhibit can help me find job opportunities in concept art or develop the animation series as a future project.
My project is solely based on mythology or urban creatures worldwide, such as America, Mexico, Netherlands, Japan, and other locations with famous monsters. I was exclusively interested in the different trading card games like the ones I grew up playing, such as Yu-Gi-oh and Magic: the Gathering. Similar elements are used within the card design, mainly in the front of the card, where the figure is presented with infographic statistics, such as health bars, power moves, special abilities, and weaknesses. It will also include another set of cards for weapons a creature can obtain based on its status or similar power moves and a card holder box with the game’s design. Lastly, I want to include.
I am excited to have this exhibit project displayed for my final year at UTRGV. I’m looking forward to finally taking that leap of faith, as it will help me experience the world and open doors for future projects. What could be labeled as a vision is coming to life with my graphic skills and determination to be the best I can be.
