Artist Statement
I define myself as a graphic designer who incorporates creativity and artistry to create a captivating visual narrative. I pursed a career in the arts because it has always been my passion. My journey into the arts began early, from my very first art class in middle school, I was instantly fascinated. This fascination led me to take a variety of art classes throughout high school where I developed skills in different techniques and mediums. However it wasn’t until I entered college that I discovered graphic design and chose to pursue it as my future career. It became clear to me that graphic design was the ideal path to channeling my creativity and passion into a future career. What drives me is the ability to take a creative vision and bring it to life in a unique way. I find happiness in using my skills to to express someone idea into a concept that not only aligns perfectly with their brand but also resonates with their audience on a personal level.
My design process is both thoughtful and dynamic. It begins with brainstorming sessions where I gather ideas and seek inspiration from online resources to discover currents trends and new concepts. Once I have a clear direction, I create sketches to visualize my ideas and refine them until they meet my standards. This process allows me to explore different possibilities before transitioning to the digital phase, where I bring the concept to life. During the digital design phase I carefully select elements such as color palettes and typography to ensure a clear narrative behind every project. I aim to create effective designs but I also recognize the importance of knowing when a design isn’t working. When I encounter challenges, I focus on resolving them, no matter how small the detail. I'm not afraid to let go of a design element if it's not working, and sometimes I'll even start a project from scratch. I’ll reevaluate my approach, bringing a fresh perspective while staying mindful of deadlines. This process often leads to a design that’s even stronger than the original idea. This adaptability ensures that the final product reflects the highest quality and creativity. My goal as a designer is to create memorable designs that are visually appealing and resonate with the audience.
