Priscila Gomez

Artist Statement
Hello, my name is Priscila Gomez, a 26-year-old student from Mexico City, where life's canvas is as diverse as the art forms that inspire me—music, literature, dance and now, unexpectedly, graphic design.
My journey into the world of design wasn't a calculated decision but a serendipitous turn in response to life's unpredictable nature. When my family relocated to Brownsville, my dream of studying architecture took a detour when the program was discontinued. In this twist, I found myself drawn into the world of graphic design. As a student navigating this creative landscape, I've come to appreciate the artistry and hard work embedded in every visual that surrounds us. From the bustling streets of Mexico City to the quieter corners of Brownsville, each design tells a story that now I can see and I'm eager to explore.
Graphic design goes beyond the pixels and layouts. It's a language that transcends borders and cultures, allowing me to infuse my work with the warmth of my Mexican roots. Each project becomes a way I can express not only creativity but also a piece of my own narrative. I see every project as an opportunity to grow and learn.
The intricacies of design, the harmony of colors, and the balance of elements are challenges I embrace with enthusiasm and with a little bit more confidence each time. Thanks to this I am now discovering my voice and expressing the vibrant energy of my heritage. So, as you delve into my portfolio, I invite you to join me on this student's exploration of graphic design— let's celebrate the art of learning, the joy of creation, and the beauty found in the twists and turns of an unforeseen path.
Welcome to my creative space, where each design is a step in my educational adventure, and the beauty of discovery is etched into every visual narrative.
