Safety First. Always.
To us, being on campus means everything.
Below you’ll find information on what we're doing — and what you should do — to stay safe this semester.
Campus Protocols
Each time you plan to visit any UTRGV campus or facility, make sure to first ask yourself the COVID-19 Daily Self-Screening Questions.
- Have you been in close contact (within 6 feet of an infected person for a cumulative total of 15 minutes or more over a 24-hour period)?
- Do you have a measured temperature greater than 100.0°F, or feelings of fever or chills?
- Do you have a new or worsening cough, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, sore throat, muscle pain or body aches, nausea, vomiting, headache, loss of taste or smell, or diarrhea?
If you answer “Yes” to any of the questions, please DO NOT proceed with your planned visit.
If you’d like to request a free phone screening for a COVID-19 test, please fill out this form.
More information on UTHealth RGV’s COVID-19 testing services.
Please note that there are currently no local, state, or national COVID-19 health mandates that enable UTRGV to require the wearing of face coverings or vaccinations within our campus community. However, UTRGV continues to follow the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) latest guidance and encourages the use of face coverings, especially in settings where distancing is not possible.
For more on what UTRGV is currently enforcing and/or recommending to promote your safety, visit the Protocols page.
