Portal Technical Guide and Tips

Desktop

The best portal experience is via a desktop computer. Please make sure you are using the latest version of Chrome and have enabled third-party cookies.

Mobile

iPhone users may need to adjust the device's privacy settings and enable third-party cookies on the browser.

If you're experiencing difficulties accessing the portal via a mobile device, try downloading the Power Apps application from your preferred app store. Once you do, log in with your UTRGV email/password and select UTRGV Vaccine Portal. Using Power Apps will also allow you to receive direct notifications and updates regarding your profile information.

*Note: Regardless of your vaccination status (I.e., received the first dose, fully vaccinated, or unvaccinated), every UTRGV employee must continue following all health and safety protocols put forth by the university. You can reference the face-covering protocol and other guidelines here.

Appointment Scheduling Process

Here’s a breakdown of what to expect during the appointment scheduling process.

Email Contact
If you are potentially eligible to receive a vaccine, you will receive an email with a unique appointment link. The email will come from covidvaccine@utrgv.edu. Only people who have not received the vaccine are eligible. You must indicate that you “would like to receive the vaccine as soon as possible” and meet any of the State eligibility criteria.

NOTE: If you already received the vaccine (at UT Health RGV or elsewhere) and wish to be removed from our vaccine registration list, please select “Decline” and click on the submit button.
Verify your information
DO NOT share your unique appointment link. Only people with a valid URL will be able to proceed. If you modify the link, you might get an error message. Only pre-approved Registration ID numbers will allow you to proceed.

Select your preferred appointment time
Once you select your appointment time, you will get an email confirmation with a unique appointment QR code. The email will come from covidvaccine@utrgv.edu. You can also download this document in the final “thank you” screen.
Arriving for your appointment
Bring your appointment confirmation email with you. The QR code will be scanned to verify your information/appointment. A final screening will be done in person by a medical professional to determine your eligibility (ex. allergies to vaccine ingredients, etc.).
