Description
The purpose of the project is to further extend the scope and reach of our initial 2019 Special Interest Research Group’s (SIRG) exploratory Deep dive into HSI students’ testimonios to build and learn our faculty paths, to learn from student testimonios what we do as a Hispanic-Serving Institution and as faculty to cultivate the success of our students. Our inquiry has support from professional literature, provides a clear explanation of the research questions/issues being addressed, as well as humbly recognize the need for decolonizing with the inclusion of local, regional, and indigenous knowledges. The current proposal expands and extends our initial College of Education & P-16 Integration SIRG pilot project to a university-wide endeavor. We seek to produce an informative and compelling podcast series featuring student testimonios that inform all UTRGV faculty and a broader audience.
