What was the PeopleSoft 9.2 Implementation Program?

UTRGV undertook a major effort to implement PeopleSoft 9.2 to manage the University’s Financials (FMS) and Human Resources (HCM) data.

The initial work for the PeopleSoft application began in 2016, which consisted of reviewing and redefining our business processes. Several people from across UTRGV were asked to collaborate on defining and then designing processes in PeopleSoft 9.2. The magnitude and complexity of this project required the expertise and efforts of multiple people from various departments.

Over the course of 2016 and 2017, numerous discovery meetings and focus sessions were held, which identified approximately 3,000 requirements. These requirements were the foundation for the functionality implemented in PeopleSoft 9.2.

Why Did We Decide to Implement PeopleSoft 9.2?

PeopleSoft allows us to streamline our administrative information systems for Financial Management, Human Resources, Payroll and Purchasing. PeopleSoft 9.2 also offers the interactive FLUID interface, which is intuitive and mobile device friendly.
