Accommodations are changes in the environment, curriculum format, or equipment to help individuals with disabilities access content and complete tasks.
Some available accommodations include:
- Alternate Format Print Materials: For students with disabilities like blindness, low vision, and physical or learning disabilities, we can provide materials in formats like electronic, audio, large print, or Braille. Please allow 4 to 6 weeks of processing due to time constraints.
- Dining Accommodations: If food is provided during Orientation, we can cater to food allergies. Note that campus food locations may contain common allergens.
- Sign Language Interpreter: For students who are hearing impaired, we can provide a Sign Language Interpreter to help them understand the material presented.
- Seizure Precautions: If a student is prone to seizures, we will provide information on safety procedures to follow in case of an incident.
- Service Animals: Students with a psychological or physical disability may have a service animal, like a dog or miniature horse, with them in classrooms and campus buildings.
Please be aware that last-minute requests for accommodation that require planning might not be feasible for a specific test, exam, or course assignment.
