Research on the Run
Research on the Run is a mobile reference service offered at the University Library-Edinburg that provides UTRGV students, faculty, and staff with easy access to librarians and information resources throughout the library.
Reference and Instructional Librarians and staff use tablets to deliver onsite information assistance within regular office hours each week. We aim to assist our campus community wherever they feel comfortable working by making librarians and resources available away from the traditional (and often intimidating!) 2nd Floor Informational Desk.
Keep an eye out for us around the Edinburg campus library and stop us if you have any questions!
About
The Research on the Run program was made possible through an Impact Grant awarded to the University Library-Edinburg by the Texas State Library and Archives Commission (TSLAC) in 2014. These Impact Grants for Library Innovation and Improvement are awarded to the libraries that are seeking to implement an idea, service or best practice that will better service their community.
As the UTRGV University Library continues to grow, we are hoping to expand this mobile reference service to the Brownsville campus library. Currently, the Research on the Run program is only offered at the Edinburg campus library.
