Call for Proposals
The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley Center for Online Learning and Teaching Technology (COLTT) seeks presentation proposals for its Sixth Annual Excellence in Online Learning Conference (EOLC) to be held on Friday, April 14, 2023.
This conference is devoted to driving quality assurance and innovation in online and hybrid learning, and advancing best practice guidance in learning for faculty, staff, and online learning professionals in the South Texas Region. This year’s theme will discuss adult learning strategies in distance learning and will include topics such as experiential and active learning, methods of instruction, building community, and more.
Objectives
Upon completion of the conference, participants will be able to:
- identify a variety of techniques utilized for Adult Learning Strategies
- apply effective adult learning strategies and methods to their online courses
- engage in hands-on workshops aimed at best practices in design and delivery for online and hybrid learning
- explore new trends and best practices adopted by your peers on teaching & learning in the digital environment
- share support structures utilized to support adult online learners
General Session Logistics
Each session will be 50 minutes long and may include up to three presenters. Presenters are encouraged to provide handouts to participants before the start of each session.

Submitting a Proposal
The deadline to submit your session proposal is Monday, February 27, 2023 at noon. You will be notified by Monday, March 6, 2023 at 5:00 p.m. if your proposal has been selected for presentation at the conference.
