The university acquired the already built Vaquero Plaza on West University Boulevard in Brownsville. It took the place of a building UTRGV had been renting in The Woods located at 451 East Alton Gloor Boulevard.
Taking up residency at this plaza are Parking and Transportation, Procurement, Grants, Human Resources, Accounting Services, Treasury, Fiscal Services, Internal Audits, Accounting and Accounts Payable.
Building 1 was previously a Burger King and is being renovated to house Parking and Transportation as well as Grants. This building finished move in and has been fully operational since February 2018.
