Best Week Ever 2019
Best Week Ever is right around the corner and you don’t want to miss out on all the festivities. Best Week Ever is the official welcoming experience for students. This campus-wide initiative takes place during the first week of the fall semester and will feature 4 signature events, as well as several events hosted by campus partners. Come and meet other students, gain valuable campus resources, and celebrate UTRGV’s culture and tradition.

Not sure where to go on your first day of class? Student Activities has you covered with Info Depots. Located in various locations on the Brownsville and Edinburg campuses, they will set you up with a campus map, directions, snacks, and event information.

Join the Office of Global Engagement and their partners as they host the International Meet and Greet. This event includes a parade of flags with students and staff representing the different countries of international students at UTRGV.
Parade of Flags route begins at BMain and ends at BSTUN Lawn.

Cultural Awareness Lecture
with Guest Speaker: Dr. Justin Velten

Our guest speaker, Dr. Justin Velten is a professor, researcher, and president of Go Culture International. Go Culture International exists to provide the most reliable intercultural competency assessment tool. During his presentation, he will define cultural awareness and provide tips on how to acquire, measure and what are its components, elements and principles.

Joing the Campus Activities Board for a Free Movie Screening of the Avengers: Endgame inside Salon Cassia.
Adrift in space with no food or water, Tony Stark sends a message to Pepper Potts as his oxygen supply starts to dwindle. Meanwhile, the remaining Avengers -- Thor, Black Widow, Captain America and Bruce Banner -- must figure out a way to bring back their vanquished allies for an epic showdown with Thanos -- the evil demigod who decimated the planet and the universe.
