IMPORTANT NOTICE:

Use of Face Coverings/Masks

UTRGV has implemented a new face-covering protocol, which requires the wearing of face coverings when entering a campus building to protect others and themselves to create the safest possible campus. This protocol applies to all students, staff, faculty, contractors, vendors, suppliers, and visitors. Masks must cover both mouth and nose.

The 2020 General Election will include the Presidential nominees

OCTOBER 13 - OCTOBER 30, 2020

Vaqueros Vote will be providing information to UTRGV students, faculty and staff via this page on where you may be able to cast your votes for the upcoming general election.  

You can preview what is on the ballot based on the county you reside in by visiting the following page on the Texas Secretary of State's website:

Have your recently turned 18? Do you want to change your political party affiliation? Or have your recently moved?  UTRGV is making it possible for YOU to be eligible to vote in this next election.

ARE YOU REGISTERED TO VOTE? THE LAST DAY TO REGISTER TO VOTE IS OCTOBER, 5, 2020. 

  • You are eligible to register to vote if:
    • You are a United States citizen;
    • You are a resident of the county where you submit the application;
    • You are at least 17 years and 10 months old, and you are 18 years of age on Election Day.
    • You are not a convicted felon (you may be eligible to vote if you have completed your sentence, probation, and parole); and
    • You have not been declared by a court exercising probate jurisdiction to be either totally mentally incapacitated or partially mentally incapacitated without the right to vote.
  • Are you already registered?
    • To confirm your voter registration status, you may select one of three methods to perform a search:
    • Your Texas driver’s license number, if you provided it when you applied for voter registration;
    • Your Voter Unique Identifier (VUID), which appears on your voter registration certificate; Your first and last name.
