Individual Therapy
Individual counseling is a confidential one-on-one intervention with a therapist available to medical students. There is no preset limit to the number of counseling sessions available for every UTRGV medical student. The therapist and the student will determine the duration and frequency of sessions during the initial evaluation and treatment planning phase. Depending on the personalized treatment plan, sessions usually last between 45 to 50 minutes and are scheduled weekly or biweekly.
