Dr. Henry Ruiz received his medical degree from Mount Sinai School of Medicine and completed fellowship training in Reconstructive Urology and Urodynamics from Duke University Medical Center. He received his second board certification and was named a Diplomat of Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery in 2013. He has been a Diplomat of the American Board of Urology since 1997 and renewed his board certification in 2007.” Dr. Ruiz is a member of many medical organizations such as the Texas Medical Association, Hidalgo-Starr County Medical Society, The Society of Genitourinary Reconstructive Surgeons, American Urological Association, Texas Urological Association, Texas Urological Society, and several other noteworthy organizations. He has been practicing medicine for nearly 20 years and has built his practice to care for the citizens of the Rio Grande Valley. For patients with Benign Prostatic Hyperlasia (BPH), Dr. Ruiz offers minimally invasive treatment using the Urolift® System.

- Gaudencio Olgin, MD

A native of the Rio Grande Valley, Dr. Gaudencio Olgin received his Bachelor of Science degree from UT-Pan American. He received his Doctor of Medicine from UT-Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX, and completed general surgery and urology residency training at Brookdale University Hospital in Brooklyn, NY. Most recently, he pursued a fellowship in minimally invasive endourology at Loma Linda University Medical Center in California. Dr. Olgin specializes in minimally invasive urologic surgery, including robotic and laparoscopic techniques. He is specially trained in the metabolic and surgical management of complex urinary stone diseases. Dr. Olgin joins the Urology Institute at Renaissance, the Valley’s premier multispecialty urology team.

- David Alonzo, MD

Dr. David G. Alonzo is a fellowship trained surgeon with expertise in the treatment of urologic cancers. He specializes in robotic surgery for prostate, penile, bladder, and kidney cancer. He was previously a clinical instructor of urology at the University of Miami. Born and raised in the Rio Grande Valley, he earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas - Pan American. He received his medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston TX. He completed his internship in general surgery and residency in urology at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, FL. He continued his training with a fellowship in surgical urologic oncology at the University of Miami.
- Gustavo Villegas, MD

Dr. Villegas received his bachelor degree from the University of Texas at El Paso and his medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine. He completed internship training in General Surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio where he also conducted his residency in Urologic Surgery. Dr. Villegas offers innovative urologic treatment options, including minimally invasive surgery and the medical management of urologic disorders. As part of a Urolift® Center of Excellence, Dr. Villegas offers minimally invasive treatment for Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) using the Urolift® System.
