CASPerR Situational Judgement Test

UTRGV will be piloting the use of Casper Suite for GME for selection into the training year of 2021-2022 and ask all applicants to complete Casper Suite by creating an account on TakeCasper.com and reserving your test time and date.

Casper Suite is a set of selection tools aimed at assessing and understanding an applicant's alignment to our program, communication skills, and non-cognitive skills such as collaboration, team work, empathy, ethics, and professionalism. Together, these three components of Casper Suite will provide applicants with the opportunity to showcase their strengths, helping them stand out from their peers all while complimenting their ERAS application.

Casper Suite is also aimed at helping our program make fair and defensible decisions based on the applicant’s personal and professional attributes, so as not to rely heavily on cognitive metrics alone. We are piloting Casper Suite this year to determine the feasibility, acceptability, and validity of using these tools for decision-making purposes.

For more information, please visit the website https://takecasper.com/casper-suite-for-gme/

  • For the 2020 application season we are participating in a GME pilot for CASPerR in an effort to further our holistic application review.
