Curriculum
Overall Structure
The residency program spans three years, with a balance between clinical rotations, didactic learning, research opportunities, and community service. The curriculum is regularly reviewed and updated to adhere to ACGME standards, ensuring that residents receive the most current and relevant training in internal medicine.
By the end of the program, residents will be well-equipped to pursue board certification in internal medicine and embark on successful careers as competent, compassionate, and knowledgeable internists.
The following table shows which rotations are built into each year of training. We build in 2-week subspecialty rotations that are mandatory, but residents can complete additional time in whichever specialties they choose during their elective time. Residents receive 3 weeks of vacation per PGY year.
