Application Process

The UTRGV Family Medicine-MMC Residency Program participates in the National Resident Matching Program (NRPM) and the Supplemental Offer and Acceptance Program (SOAP).

Applications are accepted through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) only. All applicants are required to have graduated from an accredited medical school acceptable to the Texas Medical Board (as well as to meet all Texas Medical Board requirements), and to have passed Steps 1 and 2 CK of the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) or National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners (NBOME).

At this time the program will not be recruiting for 2025.
