Dr. Jean, DPM, MPH, FACPM is a tenured-track assistant professor at the School of Medicine, department of Podiatric Medicine.
She previously served as a Podiatric Physician at Essen Healthcare, a multispecialty group in New York City. Dr. Jean received a Bachelor of Science in Health Education & Behavior (cum laude) from the University of Florida and a Master’s Degree in Public Health Epidemiology and Biostatistics at Florida International University. While working as a research analyst, she was reintroduced to podiatric medicine and later earned a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from Barry University school of Podiatric Medicine in Miami, Florida. She completed her residency in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York.
Dr. Jean is a fellow of the American College of Podiatric Medicine and a diplomate of American Board of Podiatric Medicine. She will be serving the RGV community as a Podiatric Physician & Surgeon at the Brownsville Community Health Center, Su Clinica, and Valley Baptist Medical center in Harlingen & Brownsville. Her research interests include wound care, diabetic limb salvage and public health.
