Dr. Eron Manusov is a Professor of Human Genetics at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley School of Medicine. He earned his Medical Degree from The Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences School of Medicine in 1984 and completed his Family Medicine Residency training at USAF David Grant Medical Center in 1987. After his residency, Dr. Manusov served in the USAF, the Combat Casualty Care Center, and as faculty at his Alma Mater. He continued his medical education and completed a Faculty Development Fellowship at The University of North Carolina Chapel Hill in 1993, followed by positions at Florida State University College of Medicine, and as Vice President of the Southern Regional Area Health Education Center in North Carolina.
In 2015, Dr. Manusov joined the School of Medicine faculty, and he continues to educate and train the next generation of leaders in medicine, research, and patient care. His research focus is on social determinants of health and the genetics of chronic disease. He has garnered over 6 million dollars in grants to develop community outreach programs, including the UTRGV Unimovil and the John Austin Pena Memorial Center, for the treatment of triply diagnosed adolescents.
Dr. Manusov additionally serves as a bord-certified Family Medicine Doctor at UT Health RGV. He delivers competent, compassionate patient care and uses the latest advancements in family medicine to improve the quality of care for both children and adults in the Rio Grande Valley.
