Welcome to the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) School of Medicine. Our department includes an exceptional and diverse team of expert surgical care providers passionate about providing high-quality, comprehensive surgical care through specialized surgical services, innovative research programs, and state-of-the-art medical facilities.

Our Educational Programs

Patient Care

In affiliation with our UT Health RGV clinical program, our board certified faculty surgeons provide a full spectrum of orthopedic services and treatments for children and adults. Specialties include Sports Medicine, Hand-upper extremity surgery, Pediatric Orthopedics including disease of the spine, Total Joint replacement. Over the next year we will expand services to include Orthopedic Oncology, and Orthopedic Foot and Ankle specialists. All of our Orthopedic surgeons also provide Fracture care.
