Welcome to the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) School of Medicine. Education
At the UTRGV School of Medicine Department of Orthopedic Surgery, our faculty and staff are dedicated to fostering the next generation of orthopedic surgeons by offering innovative educational, medical, and residency programs that balance a strong academic core with an exceptional community experience.
Our Educational Programs
Patient Care
In affiliation with our UT Health RGV clinical program, our board certified faculty surgeons provide a full spectrum of orthopedic services and treatments for children and adults. Specialties include Sports Medicine, Hand-upper extremity surgery, Pediatric Orthopedics including disease of the spine, Total Joint replacement. Over the next year we will expand services to include Orthopedic Oncology, and Orthopedic Foot and Ankle specialists. All of our Orthopedic surgeons also provide Fracture care.
