BIOMEDICAL RESEARCH SAVES LIVES!

The Biomedical Research Awareness Day (BRAD) Event, hosted by UTRGV, offered the university community the opportunity to pledge support for the humane involvement of animals in research.
Laboratory animals have contributed to many past and present medical discoveries that have led to the development of treatments and cures for humans and animals. In addition to the BRAD Pledge, students played educational games and learned about animal research at UTRGV to take home UTRGV swag and prizes. BRAD TALKS were information sessions about UTRGV research involving animals, and their humane handling.

BRAD was held March 26, 2019 in Edinburg in the Library lobby and auditorium, and March 27, 2019 in the Brownsville Gran Salon.  BRAD Talks were also hosted in Harlingen at the CEBL building.
