Family Medical Leave and Absence (FMLA)

Transcript of PeopleSoft Training Video:

  1. Login to https://my.utrgv.edu
  2. Select the PeopleSoft Icon under Applications.
  3. Navigate to the Employee Self Service Menu.
  4. Click the NavBar button to easily access functions
  5. Select Navigator icon
  6. Select HRMS
  7. Select Self Service then select Time Reporting
  8. Select Extended Absence Request
  9. Select Report Time then select Timesheet
  10. Select Start Date and Expected Return Date
  11. You can select dates by clicking on the Calendar button
  12. Select Absence Type: Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA)
  13. Select Absence Name that best matches your situation
  14. Check FMLA Eligibility by clicking FMLA Eligibility (Employee)
  15. Select all the Eligibility Details that apply
  16. Click Validate Sections
  17. Click Return to Extended Absence Request once you have Validated that employees is FMLA Eligible.
  18. Click View Absence Balances to view Vacation and Sick Leave Balances
  19. You can review your Vacation and Sick Leave Balances. You may also add comments to your request.
  20. You can save your information before Submitting by select Save for Later.
  21. Once your request is ready, click Submit.
  22. Your submitted requests are shown as Pending Approval under Extended Abs Process for FMLA.
