Migrant University Summer Experience (MUSE)-Edinburg Campus (CANCELLED)

The Migrant University Summer Experience (MUSE) program is a six week summer enrichment program for migrant high school juniors and seniors from across the Rio Grande Valley (freshmen and sophomores are eligible upon the discretion of the school district). During this summer program students gain university experience, while earning either two high school credits, or 6 college credit hours. Students also receive on-campus housing (residential camp), a student ID that provides them access to select facilities on campus as well as a meal plan at the university café. During their stay students are placed in professional workplace for a job shadowing experience within the university. Students also participate in college readiness and leadership seminars while living on the UTRGV campus.

The Girls Adventuring in Math, Engineering and Science camp is a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics based summer camp for girls. This camp is a one week residential program for students who have successfully completed the MDP school year in good standing. However, this camp will also offer open enrollment to the community for a fee of $450.

Boys Learning Advanced Science and Technology (BLAST) Summer Camp! -Edinburg Campus (CANCELLED)

The BLAST Summer Camp is an exploratory Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics based summer camp for boys. However, this camp will offer open enrollment to the community for a fee of $450.

The STISD STEM Camp is a one-week, academic, residential camp that emphasizes increasing students’ mathematics and science skills while introducing them to college life and stimulating their interest in science and engineering as a potential career path.  THIS CAMP IS ONLY OPEN TO STUDENTS OF SOUTH TEXAS ISD MIDDLE SCHOOLS: SOUTH TEXAS PREPARATORY ACADEMY AND RISING SCHOLARS ACADEMY
