Victim Advocacy

  • Victim advocates at UTRGV provide confidential, non-judgmental assistance to victims, survivors of sexual assault, and bystanders of dating violence, domestic violence, and stalking, hate crimes, and any instance of violence.
  • Advocates can explain rights, assist with locating medical, psychological, and legal resources on campus and off campus, and help victims and survivors with appropriate accommodations for their unique situations.
  • A critical voice for promoting change in beliefs and policies that marginalize members of the campus community who identify as victims, survivors, or bystander of violence victimization and interpersonal violence.
