Blackboard Messages Request Form

What is this request for?

The purpose of this form is to request the creation of a Blackboard message. The message can be set up as a popup or systray message. A popup message appears on the center of the page, and a systray message appears on the side of the page.

Standard dimensions for messages are 500(w) x 400(h) pixels or 400(w) x 400(h) pixels, but we can always customize the message to the desired dimensions. You must provide detailed information on your target audience: students, faculty, staff, or a custom list of users. You also must provide the availability dates of your message.

All Blackboard messages will be reviewed by our department committee. Messages must be academic-related and targeted to specific users. Posting the message will be based on approval from this committee.

  1. Complete the Blackboard Message request form.
  2. Message will be review and approved or denied by our department.
  3. Once the message has been approved, the system admin will start working on the creation of the message. If any information is missing or needed for the creation of the message, we will contact you to provide additional information.
  4. Once the message has been created and scheduled for availability, the system admin will let you know via email.

Note: Please allow 2 to 3 days for this process to be completed.
