The Bachelor of Science in Hospitality and Tourism Management is a 100% online program that allows students to enhance their degree and prepare them for the various sectors of the hospitality and tourism industry, such as:

About the Program

  • Complete in as few as 18 months
  • 63 major core credit hours + 15 elective credit hours (78 credit hours in total)

In order to offer our students this program 100% online, the following requirements must be met prior to starting:

  • General Education Core Curriculum Complete (42 credit hours)
  • MATH 1324 Math for Business & Social Sciences with grade of "C" or better
    If transferring to UTRGV, one of the following courses will be accepted in lieu of MATH 1324. Course must be completed with grade of "C" or better:
    • MATH 1314/1414 College Algebra
    • MATH 1325 Calculus for Business and Social Sciences
    • MATH 2412 Pre-Calculus
    • MATH 2413 Calculus I
  • ECON 2301 Principles of Macroeconomics with a grade of "C" or better
  • Computer Proficiency or INFS 1001 VCoBE Computer Proficiency Exam

A student may begin this program without meeting the requirements above. However, the student may be required to attend on-campus courses to meet all degree requirements.
