Main Description
Since 2015, IT has been using PaperCut MF, a comprehensive print management system designed to monitor and control printing resources at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. PaperCut MF is typically used to track and control: Print, Copy, Fax, and Scan activities.
The Executive Summary Reports for fiscal years 2016 to 2019 show how UTRGV has an Environmental Impact on the Planet. The reports also include number of active users, active printers, total of printed pages per day, and total of printed pages for each year.
The reports include:
- Trees consumed are the amount of trees that have gone into making the paper.
- CO2 produced is the greenhouse gases released in the production of paper
- Equivalent bulb hours is the manufacturing energy used to produce the paper represented as the energy consumed by a standard light bulb in hours.
