About Us

Who We Are and What We Do

The Project Management Office (PMO) defines and maintains standards for project management to achieve the UTRGV's goals and objectives.

The primary goal of a PMO is to produce benefits by standardizing and following project management principles, practices, policies, processes, and methods in accordance with industry-standard methodology and the Texas Department of Information Resources requirements.

Our purpose is to be a source of guidance, documentation, and metrics related to the practices involved in managing and implementing Information Technology (IT) projects at UTRGV.


Our Services

  • Project Portfolio Management
    • We provide project management services to ensure Information Technology (IT) projects are implemented using best practices and standards.
  • Software Assessment
    • Assessment of software prior to making a purchase to ensure technical and security compliance, allocate appropriate resources, avoid software duplication, and manage implementation timeline.
