Nominating Students From A Partner University

The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley is delighted to welcome visiting exchange students from our exchange partner universities.

In order to be considered for admittance, you must first be nominated as a candidate for exchange by the international office or corresponding department at your home university.

The candidate must also complete the J-1 incoming exchange application form and requirements. The application form and verifying documentation, as well as questions and comments, may be sent to ipp@utrgv.edu by the home institution.

Keep in mind that all candidates must have proof of financial support, and must comply with the UTRGV international student insurance regulations and requirements.

Once all documents have been submitted, the Office of International Programs and Partnerships will notify the home institution of a decision on enrollment via e-mail. UTRGV can also provide a "Letter of Acceptance" as requested.

Please contact your university's exchange coordinator for questions about the nomination and selection process.
