International Programs and Partnerships serves the UTRGV faculty through Study Abroad, the J-1 Exchange Visitor Program, and Agreements of Cooperation with international partners.

Faculty-Led Study Abroad Programs

The application cycle for Academic Year 2023-2024 will open soon on mid-March and will close on may 15th 2023.
Proposals will be approved on a rolling basis as spots remain available.
You can watch this brief video about the submission form that explains what information you will need before submitting a completed proposal.
Faculty members are encouraged to reach out to IPP for questions about leading either Study Abroad or Study Away (domestic) programs. Email us at ipp@utrgv.edu. You can also schedule a Teams meeting with one of us by following this link to our calendars.
Faculty leaders on UTRGV Study Abroad or Study Away programs are required to comply with the Rules and Guidelines for faculty leaders.

NOTE: All faculty-led programs offering credit must be coordinated through International Programs and Partnerships.

Exchange Visitors

If you need guidance on how to host a visiting scholar on the Exchange Visitor Program (J-1 Visa) please reach out to us. This is the Exchange Visitor Program application for your reference.

Agreements

We also provide leadership in the creation of Agreements of Cooperation with institutions abroad that share research and academic agendas with your college or department.
