Faculty-Led Study Abroad Program

Summer 2020 and Summer 2021 Study Abroad/Study Away Proposals

The application cycle to submit Study Abroad proposals for Summer 2020 is open!

UTRGV Faculty Led Proposal Form 2020-2021
The proposal deadline to submit is Monday, March 25th, 2019.

Faculty members are encouraged to read the Program Approval Process and to reach out to IPP (alan.earhart@utrgv.edu, 965-665-3572).

Part of the proposal process includes getting feedback on the syllabus from the Center for Teaching Excellence. The syllabus evaluation rubric is linked here.

Approvals are valid for two years. In other words, if you are leading a UTRGV faculty-led program this summer then you do not need to submit a proposal.

If your students are interested in other international academic experiences you can direct them to our office.

Faculty leaders on UTRGV Study Abroad or Study Away programs are required to comply with the Rules and Guidelines

NOTE: All faculty-led programs must be coordinated through International Programs and Partnerships.

Exchange Visitors

If you need guidance on how to host a visiting scholar on the Exchange Visitor Program (J-1 Visa) please reach out to us. This is the Exchange Visitor Program application for your reference.

Agreements

We also provide leadership in the creation of affiliation and program agreements with institutions abroad that share research and academic agendas with your college or department.
