Requirements for a B.A. in HDO
Thirty semester hours of Human Dimensions of Organizations, at least fifteen of which must be upper-division, including:
1. HDOS 2301: Introduction to the Human Dimensions of Organizations
2. HDOS 3320: Multidisciplinary Methods for Exploring Organizations
3. At least 3 credit hours in each of the following fields:
Quantitative Reasoning: Courses that teach students how to evaluate quantitative analysis and how to collect, manage, and analyze data using logic and statistical methodology.
Qualitative Reasoning: Courses that teach students how to evaluate qualitative analysis and how to collect, manage, and analyze data using observation, ethnography, interviews, historiography, and other qualitative means.
Creativity and Innovation: Courses that teach students about the myriad of ways to think about personal and organizational dynamics and how individuals and groups working within organizations can promote the development of new ideas.
Culture and Communication: Courses that teach students different communication skills ranging from speaking, writing, and listening to understand how communication occurs within cultural contexts and involves learning about cultures outside of their own or learning about historical forces that shaped their own culture.
