STPA Vector-borne diseases training
On June 8th, Dr. Teresa Feria gave a presentation on vector-borne diseases to the South Texas Promotores Association, a non-for-profit organization dedicated to improve the health status and quality of life for the families that reside in the South Texas Border. STPA provides health education, community resources information, preventive health screenings, and training for Promotores de Salud/Community Health Workers. On that same day, KRGV interviewed Dr. Feria to spread awareness about vector-borne diseases before hurricane season.
