Distinguished Faculty Colloquium

The Office of Faculty Success & Diversity and the University Library launched the Distinguished Faculty Colloquium Series in the 2017-2018 academic year. The key goals of this Series are to:

  • Celebrate our UTRGV faculty successes/achievements and impact at the local, national and international levels;
  • Create a culture of intellectual excitement and a continued appreciation of learning (that connects faculty, students, staff, and the community); and
  • Foster a climate of interdisciplinary communication and dialogue about the exciting and innovative work done by our distinguished faculty.
2018-2019 Presentations

The colloquia will be held at the University Library on the following dates from 12:15 - 1:30 p.m.

  • Tuesday, October 16 – Edinburg 
  • Thursday, March 21 - Brownsville

Faculty will be selected on a competitive basis. Those who present their work in the Distinguished Faculty Colloquium Series will receive $1,000 in travel support.
