Employee Appreciation Day | Friday, March 6, 2020
On behalf of the Staff Senate, thank you for all you do to make UTRGV a great place to learn, work, and grow. Your dedicated efforts, directly and indirectly, impact the lives of thousands of people across our entire region and beyond.
As a gesture of appreciation, the University community is offering the following opportunities to UTRGV employees on Friday, March 6:
- Appreciation Breakfast events hosted by Staff Senate. Enjoy FREE breakfast tacos and refreshments from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the following locations:
- Brownsville Campus – El Comedor/Student Union
- Edinburg Campus – Ballroom
- Harlingen Campus – Clinical Education Building (HCEBL) Lobby
- UTRGV Decals and employee photoshoots, courtesy of University Marketing & Communications (UMC) at the Appreciation Breakfast events. Photos will be uploaded to UTRGV Social Media.
- The UTRGV Campus Stores will offer a 20% discount off one apparel or gift item on March 6, 2020 to all UTRGV employees (applies only to in-store purchases). This promotion is not valid on textbook purchases.
- Alumni Stickers, courtesy of Alumni Relations. All alumni faculty and staff are eligible to receive one at the Appreciation Breakfast events.
- FREE Admission + FREE Ticket to the UTRGV baseball game against New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) @ 7 PM, courtesy of Athletics. – Please present a UTRGV employee ID at the Box Office to receive the 2 tickets.
- FREE Assessments through March 15 at UREC’s Edinburg facility + discounts on Summer Youth Camp and Learn to Swim registration, courtesy of UREC.
- REMINDER: Employees are allowed FREE entry at both UREC facilities (Brownsville and Edinburg) during the first week of each semester. Dates and times are advertised during the Welcome Week messages.
- 20% Off at all Sodexo Edinburg locations, including Campus Dining Hall, Chick-fil-A, Pizza Hut, C-Store, Jazzman's and Simply To Go (in Engineering), AND Brownsville locations, including The Grill, Pizza Hut, and The Grid C-Store.
- NOTE: Dine at the Edinburg Campus Dining Hall or The Grill in Brownsville and receive a special appreciation surprise.
- REMINDER: Sodexo offers the following programs for staff year-round:
- Enroll in the CINCH program at the Edinburg Campus Dining Hall to earn two (2) FREE meals (Contact Sodexo Dining Services for more information).
- After completing the CINCH loyalty card, staff can enjoy 15% OFF on up to five (5) meals
