Employee Appreciation Day 2019

 

As a sign of appreciation, the following opportunities are available to UTRGV employees on March 1 (note: some are available year-round):

  1. University Marketing & Communication will distribute UTRGV swag and take photos of employees to upload to UTRGV Social Media throughout various campus locations. Remember to use the hashtag #employeeappreciationday when posting about EmployeeAppreciation Day!
  2. The UTRGV Campus Stores will offer a 20% discount off one apparel or gift item on March 1 to all UTRGV employees (applies only to in-store purchases). This promotion is not valid on textbook purchases. The UTRGV Campus Stores offer a 10% discount on staff purchases year-round.
  3. UREC will offer a 10% discount on Annual Faculty/Staff Membership to our UREC facility (until March 8). In addition, each semester, employees are allowed free entry into both Edinburg/Brownsville facilities for the first week of each semester. Dates/times are advertised during the Welcome Week messages.
  4. Sodexo will offer a 20% discount at all Sodexo Edinburg locations (Campus Dining Hall, The Grill, Chick-Fil-A, El Pato) and Brownsville locations (The Grill and The Grid) on March 1. The Campus Dining Hall in Edinburg and The Grill in Brownsville will have a special meal, plus faculty and staff will receive a token of appreciation when they dine-in.
  5. Furthermore, Sodexo offers the following programs for staff year-round:
    1. Staff will receive the 4th meal free, after 3 meals at the campus Dining Hall purchased at full price, as part of the CINCH program. (Contact Sodexo Services for more information).
    2. Once the loyalty card is completed, staff are able to redeem up to 5 meals with a 15% discount.
    3. Visit the Edinburg Campus Dining Hall for the Loyalty Cards.
  6. A UTRGV Baseball game is scheduled for March 1, which is a Family Four Pack Night where fans can receive four tickets, four hot dogs, and four drinks for $25. UTRGV Athletics will be hosting Community Yoga for Staff prior to the start of the Baseball game, included within the ticket price.
    1. Guests are encouraged to bring their own yoga mats; a limited supply of mats will be provided on a first come basis.
