Adopt An Advanced Company

Adopt A StartupAdopt A Startup has partnered with the UTRGV Entrepreneurship and Commercialization Center to offer its program to clients and incubator members.

Program Application:
UTRGV students actively impact the local business community by adopting startups and supporting entrepreneurs in the development of a business plan using the Business Model Canvas. Working in teams, students learn how to develop and test ideas by gathering massive amounts of customer and marketplace information; this helps them find unmet customer needs to establish a suitable business model and value proposition.

In Business V-Program:
Location: Virtual Blackboard Ultra
Date: Monday, 2:00 PM to 3:15 PM

Participants must commit to virtually attend the following class sessions of the UTRGV Entrepreneurship class on Monday from 2:00 PM to 3:15 PM.

Attendance to these sessions and active participation in the research process is critical to the success of the business model. Attendance at the final presentation is mandatory.

Schedule for In Business V-Program:
January 24, 2022 - Entrepreneurs’ Presentations to students (5-minutes per entrepreneur-2:30-3:00 pm)

The students working on this program will dedicate approximately 12 hours per week. It is important that, if selected, you commit to meet with the students a certain number of hours every week for customer discovery purposes and the business plan process.

A $250.00 fee will apply if an entrepreneur's commitment is broken.
