Faculty Learning Communities
Call for Center for Teaching Excellence Faculty Fellows
The Center for Teaching Excellence is pleased to announce a call for applications for 7 Faculty Fellows.
This new CTE Faculty Fellows initiative is designed to provide interested faculty members with leadership opportunities in designing, implementing, and assessing Faculty Learning Communities (FLCs) that foster faculty and student success in teaching and learning through reflection and collaboration.
FLCs are small, interdisciplinary, peer-led faculty groups (20 max.) committed to enhancing teaching and learning. FLCs are ideal spaces to reflect on teaching, learn about evidence-based best teaching practices, provide and receive feedback, engage in the scholarship of teaching and learning, and commit to implementation of new or revised teaching activities that promote all students’ academic success.
Faculty Learning Communities Faculty Fellows (6 Openings)
The Faculty Fellow for each FLC will lead 4-5 teaching conversations on a particular topic. S/he will also collaborate with the CTE Director, Administrative Faculty Fellow, and student partners in the design, implementation, and assessment of the FLC. The FLCs are scheduled to be offered in Summer 2021 and Fall 2021 semesters, respectively. Each Faculty Fellow will receive a $3,000 stipend.
