What is the MEISPP Program?
- The MEISPP is a program that provides 10-week summer internship opportunities at DOE offices and labs all over the U.S. to highly qualified undergraduate and graduate students from Minority Serving Institutions.

Mode: In-person AND virtual opportunities
Program Dates: May 20 - August 9; extensions into academic year possible
Eligibility Criteria:
- Major: all majors welcome
- U.S. Citizens who are undergraduates, graduate students, recent graduates (since Spring 2022) at/from eligible Minority Serving Institutions.
Stipends: $14,000 - $31,000 , depending on participation mode and educational level.

What is the CEI Program?
- The CEI program offers 8-10 week paid internships in coastal, ocean, and marine sciences for undergraduates from underrepresented, under-resourced, and indigenous populations, in collaboration with Sea Grant colleges across coastal states.
Application deadline: February 15, 2024
Internship Duration: June to August (8-10 weeks)
Eligibility Criteria:
- Enrolled undergraduate students at 2- or 4-year colleges affiliated with a state Sea Grant program.
- Focus on students from historically underrepresented groups in sciences.
Expand your horizons with a summer of exploration and discovery!
Engage in 8 weeks of intensive research at a leading UT institution, develop your skills, and prepare for graduate studies.
Program Dates: June 3 – August 2, 2024
Stipend: $4,000 plus housing and travel for eligible students.
Eligibility: STEM majors with 30+ credit hours, minimum 2.8 GPA, U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
