My Student Support Program
If you are outside of the state of Texas and in need of additional emotional support, you are eligible for My Student Support Program.
Adjusting your life during an uncertain time can cause additional stress as you may be learning to navigate a new environment, balance academic and personal life, manage your finances, and more. And if you are outside the state of Texas, whether in another state or country, you may be finding it particularly difficult to find help for dealing with these challenges. The good news is that the Counseling Center is offering a new service to support your mental health and wellbeing when outside of the state, called My Student Support Program (My SSP). Check it out:
Connect with a My SSP counselor to receive support:
- 24 hours a day, 7 days a week via real-time chat or phone
- From a counselor that understands the unique challenges students face
- In your preferred language *
- From anywhere using the My SSP app!
- Confidentially: your participation and what you share with the counselor is not shared with professors, family, etc. – unless you decide to tell someone on your own.
- At no cost to you!
Using My SSP is easy!
- Watch the Intro to My SSP video.
- Search for "My SSP" at either the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
