Digital21 Resources for Faculty and Students

The following list contains resources on the use of the iPad for students and faculty. If you know of additional resources not listed, please feel free to communicate the information to us.

Getting Started with the iPad

Follow the steps below to gain access to your iPad:

  1. Create an Apple ID .Once you create an Apple ID, connect to wifi and UTRGV Information Technology will push apps, such as Zoom, Adobe Creative Cloud and MS Office products, to the iPad
  2. Create a 6-digit passcode for the iPad to secure your iPad
  3. Set up Microsoft Exchange on the iPad for email

  • Inserting Math Equations
  • Let's View :Screen mirroring tool that displays iPad content to a Windows or Mac computer; good for sharing iPad whiteboard and screen with students.
  • Collaborative Whiteboards:
    • Miro :online collaborative whiteboard for brainstorming, adding sticky notes, images, etc
    • Jamboard
  • Set up Microsoft Exchange on the iPad for email

Erasing iPad Content and Settings

  • Before returning the iPad equipment to the College of Sciences, please erase all content on the iPad
  • On your iPad go Settings > General then scroll down to Reset and select Erase all Content and Settings where you’ll be asked to provide your password to erase all content and settings
