COS Writing-Mentoring Program
As an outcome of the COS ¡Juntos al Exito! Empowering Faculty Program, we created the COS Writing-Mentoring Program for early and mid-career Faculty.
The main goal of this program is to empower Faculty writing skills.
We are now seeking 6 Faculty Writing Mentors and 6 Faculty Mentees for this program.
- A faculty mentor will receive a one-time stipend of $500.00.
- Faculty Writing Mentor and Mentee will both receive a certificate of participation for this program.
Program timeline: June 13th to July 22nd
An eligible Faculty Writing Mentor:
- Has received external funding from different sources in the past three years.
- Has published high quality papers in their area of expertise in the last three years.
- Is willing to meet with a Mentee once a week during the 7 weeks of summer 2022.
- Will be in contact with a Mentee via email/phone or face to face during the time of the program.
An eligible Faculty Mentee:
- Is an assistant or associate Faculty in COS.
- Has a draft of a grant/paper that they will be using as part of this program.
- Is committed to work on the proposal and meet with the Faculty Mentor during the 7 weeks of this program (Summer 2022).
- Will submit a grant/paper during this (August 31, 2022) or next academic year (September 2022 - August 2023)
To satisfactorily complete this program a Mentee will send proof of the submitted grant/paper.

Faculty Mentees:
