  • Bachelor of Architecture, UNAM/Anahuac University, Mexico City, Mexico, 1981

Biography

Professor Vidal practiced architecture and engineering for over 35 years in both the US and Mexico. His areas of expertise include design, construction and project management, development and master-planning of higher-education facilities, smart buildings, and sustainability projects. Mr. Vidal loves teaching and uses a hands-on, practical approach to share his knowledge with the students, providing them with invaluable "real-world" experiences and connections that better prepare them for their future professional careers. He created the C.E.MENTor program which helps connect undergraduate civil engineering students with professional engineers, and AEC practitioners through job-shadowing, mentoring and internship opportunities, and by facilitating guest-speakers in the classroom as well as interesting construction-site and engineering-office visits.
