Bilingual and Literacy Studies: Undergraduate Degree Programs

Bilingual Education Specialization for Elementary Education (EC-6), BIS

Students learn how to educate bilingual children through this degree program, which incorporates some coursework delivered in Spanish. Graduates have the opportunity to become teachers in the State of Texas with EC-6 Bilingual Generalist certification and can then work with children in early childhood through 6th grade.

Graduates have the opportunity to become teachers in the State of Texas with EC-6 Generalist and ESL Supplemental certification and can then work in schools with children in early childhood through 6th grade.
