Johnny Saldaña is Professor Emeritus from Arizona State University’s School of Film, Dance, and Theatre. He is the author of Longitudinal Qualitative Research: Analyzing Change through Time, Fundamentals of Qualitative Research, The Coding Manual for Qualitative Researchers, Thinking Qualitatively: Methods of Mind, Ethnotheatre: Research from Page to Stage, Writing Qualitatively: The Selected Works of Johnny Saldaña, co-author with the late Miles and Huberman for Qualitative Data Analysis: A Methods Sourcebook, and co-author with Matt Omasta for Qualitative Research: Analyzing Life. Saldaña’s qualitative methods works have been cited and referenced in more than 18,000 research studies conducted in over 130 countries.

Activism & Scholarship at the USA/Mexico Border
Day long workshop, we will be traveling from the RGV-Upper Valley to the Lower Valley. We will visit a respite center, meet with local organizations, walk in a nature sanctuary and had lunch in a small taqueria. The workshop will be centered on how to do Activism and Scholarship while learning about the USA/Mexico border and Border Wall.
All day of preconference workshop is $90.00 includes transportation, lunch, and a donation.
We will leave from the Casa de Palms Hotel, McAllen.

On November 8, 2016, Zoroayka V. Sandoval successfully defended her doctoral dissertation for a Doctorate in Education in Curriculum & Instruction with a specialization in Educational Technology. Her dissertation is titled, The Development of an E-Learning Usability Scale for Higher Education. In October, she was won the Jay Leibowitz Outstanding Student Research Award for an article she published from her dissertation topic.
