CEP Syllabus Requirements
- Alignment of student learning outcomes with professional and state standards must be included.
- Complete Key Assessments descriptions, directions for students, and scoring rubrics need to be included. This satisfies TEA and CAEP assessments requirements.
Through course assignments,
- candidates in initial programs must demonstrate competence in the 4 categories of the InTASC standards.
- candidates in initial programs must demonstrate their ability to teach Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) aligned to college and career readiness standards (CCRS) effectively.
- candidates in initial programs must demonstrate competence in teaching the TEKS appropriate to their area of certification. Assignments that require teacher candidates to use the TEKS should include the links to the TEKS in the syllabus.
- candidates must model and apply technology in their instruction
